What films to watch this week 

Jantje Friese and Baran Bo Odar made waves in 2017 when they created Dark, a German science-fiction time- traveling masterpiece.

And now they are back with 1899, an epic period mystery horror series in which a group of European migrants on a steamship encounter another migrant ship adrift on the open sea.

1899 comes to Netflix on November 17. If you prefer humour to horror, you can watch Deon Cole: Charleen’s Boy which started on November 15, also on Netflix. Deon is one of the funniest comics work today.
