TotalEnergies, partners launch public electric charging station in Kampala 

TotalEnergies, Centenary bank, Motorcare and Green Hub have launched the first-ever public electric charging station on Wampewo avenue in Kampala.

The over Shs 110m facility will offer affordable charging rates to EV riders and drivers. The electric charging points are an energy solution to the growing number of electric bikes being used in the country, including the first batch of 26 electric bikes under Green Hub.

Stephen Kaboyo, the chairman of TotalEnergies Marketing, said the installation of the first EV charger solution is part of the journey to support the country in achieving its net zero goals.
