Man, 20, arrested in Fort Portal over raping 104-year-old woman 

A 20-year-old man Mbusa Byamukama has been arrested for allegedly raping a 104-year-old woman in Fort Portal, western Uganda.

According to Vincent Twesige, Rwenzori West police spokesperson, the incident occurred on Sunday and was reported by Moses Bwambale, a security guard at Three Stars Nursery and Primary School in Nyakitokoli village, Karangura sub-county, Fort Portal North Division.

In the statement released by Twesige, Bwambale reportedly heard noises in one of the classrooms at around 3 pm while he was on duty. He discovered the suspect raping the elderly woman.

Bwambale immediately called the police, who arrested Mbusa. Inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
