Husband scalds wife with acid she found having sex with another man 

Police in Mbale have arrested a 29-year-old man accused of scalding his wife using acid.

Rajabu Masaba, a resident of Namasaba IV lower cell in Namabasa Ward, Mbale reportedly poured acid on his wife Aisha Nabwire while she was having sex with another man in her room last Sunday night.

Last month, the couple reportedly separated a bedroom after Masaba suspected Nabwire of moving out with another man according to Julius Muchuma, the Namasaba IV lower cell defense secretary.

The unidentified man whom Nabwire was having sex with reportedly managed to get away unharmed. Nabwire sustained serious burns on the stomach, face chest, and neck. She’s currently admitted to Mbale Regional referral hospital in critical condition.

Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region police spokesperson says Masaba will appear in court on charges of attempted murder once the ongoing police investigations are complete. Taitika has urged married couples to desist from extramarital affairs to avoid similar incidents.
