Azawi impresses at Blankets and Wine 

Not even the heavy Sunday downpour could stop revellers from having the utmost fun at the Blankets and Wine, 2023 edition at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The wet and muddy ground meant that the partygoers who had carried their blankets and drinks and with no chairs had to stand throughout the event.

The show officially kicked off at around 4 pm with performances from both local and international artists. And performing for the second time in Uganda was the South African rapper Casper Nyovest who put up a good great alongside Sol Generation’s Bensoul, Rwanda’s soul singer Mike Kaihura, and our very own Joshua Baraka and Swangz Avenue female musician Azawi, and more had a perfect afro house music experience. And there was a fireworks display for about 10 minutes.

The night’s main act was Azawi took to the stage at around 11 pm. As usual, she didn’t disappoint as she kicked off with an energetic performance, she did songs like majje, slow dancing, Fwa fwa, Ache for You, and Bamututte among others before she called it a night as she closed her performance with Ten Over 10.
