The Education Fair is set to take place next year
Sharz Borderless Study Consults, a higher education placement agency, has launched its first-ever annual Education Fair to take place in Kampala from February 29 to March 1, 2024.
Hairah Kibuuka, the managing director, told The Observer that the first day of the fair will be at Golf Course hotel, while the second day will be experienced at Rainbow International School Kampala. She was upbeat, expecting hundreds of participants including students, parents and educators who will participate as exhibitors to showcase their programme offerings for students studying in Uganda.
“Besides attracting hundreds of participants to the two venues, Sharz expects to reach thousands of others through media and digital promotional activities,” she said.
“This fair is open to all universities and colleges, including those that don’t have active partnership agreements with Sharz. We want to avail the best possible study opportunities for students who wish to go and study abroad. So far, educators who have been invited and confirmed attendance include some of the leading universities in Ireland, Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Malaysia and most other popular study destinations,” Kibuuka disclosed.
“We are excited that after all these years of offering customer-focused education placement services, now we have an opportunity to bring students and educators together in one room. We look forward to an exciting experience for our students, partners and the wider public,” she added.
Esther Kibanda, Sharz senior student counsellor said Sharz boasts of a wide range of partnerships with schools, colleges, universities and education partners from across the world.
“Our core service is to connect students and professionals towards the most appropriate study opportunities abroad. This is done this by helping students that meet entry requirements to get enrolled at their various partnering universities and colleges,” Kibanda added.
