This weekend belongs to The Flash. But strangely, the interest in Spiderman: Across the Spiderman is already waning.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, on the other hand, is still going strong at the cinema even after two weeks. The film is a sequel to the highly underrated Bumblebee (2018). This time, it takes the Autobots to the 90s, forcing them to contend with a new faction of Transformers known as the Maximals.

Critics gave Rise of The Beasts a 53 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes. They don’t like it. But the audience score is 91 per cent.

The trailers showed me a film that wants to sit somewhere between Micheal Bay’s bombastic Transformers films and Bumblebee’s much quieter energy. I’m excited.
