Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Electric vehicle

CFAO Mobility has added on its Ugandan market catalogue, the crossover SUV Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Electric.

This is part of the company’s strategic move to reinforce Toyota’s commitment to eco-friendly vehicles in Uganda. The latest addition follows the success and awareness generated by the Corolla Cross Hybrid campaign which was launched in January this year.

The vehicle is equipped with a high-capacity hybrid battery, capable of storing electrical energy generated during driving and regenerative braking – replenishing the hybrid battery without the need for external charging.

The vehicle operates in electric-only mode at low speeds or when idling, reducing emissions and contributing to overall fuel savings by reducing reliance on the gasoline engine

Intelligent switching

The intelligent switching system seamlessly and efficiently manages power distribution between the petrol engine and the electric motor – optimizing performance and fuel efficiency by automatically deciding which power source, or combination of sources, should be used based on various driving conditions.

The vehicle has a maximum speed of 180 kilometres per hour.
