45-year-old security guard arrested over defiling 4-year-old girl in Jinja 

Police in Kiira region have arrested a 45-year-old man, Emmanuel Okori, for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl. Okori is a guard with the Madhivani Group. 

It is reported that Okori, a resident of Nairo cell, in Kakira town council, in Jinja district lured the juvenile to his room after buying her a chapati on Tuesday.

Okori was, however, arrested following a tipoff from 70-year-old, Neko Auma, a resident in the area, who heard the victim crying for help.

The girl is currently undergoing medical tests at Kakira health center IV. The girl’s mother, whose name has been withheld says that she had left the child under the care of her eight-year-old brother and had gone to purchase food from Kakira market.

Kiira Regional police spokesperson, James Mubi says that Okori attempted to bribe Auma with Shs 5,000 to stop her from alerting residents about the incident.
