I laugh every time someone calls Yellowstone the best modern Western of the 21st century; at least on the small screen, because that crown clearly belongs to Justified.
Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant), the fastest gunslinger in the USA. Marshal Service, spent six delicious seasons fighting rednecks in Kentucky.
And now, the charming but ruthless cowboy is back. Justified: City Primeval is set ten years after the original series. Givens is living a relatively happy life in Miami with his 15-year-old daughter when unexpected events pit him against a sociopathic criminal in Detroit.
Hopefully, the sequel can deliver the same tense action and sublime dialogue that made its predecessor a hit.
Justified: City Primeval debuted (on FX) on July 18.
