VAAL Launches The Bridge Kololo, Another One-Of-A-Kind Real Estate Project
In a dazzling evening ceremony on August 21, 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, VAAL Uganda officially launched The Bridge Kololo — a two-tower luxury residence connected by a sky bridge, and the developer’s boldest statement yet in Uganda’s high-end real estate market. This landmark launch follows last year’s unveiling of Cadenza Residence, a 24-storey, 80-metre icon in Nakasero, positioning VAAL as a dominant force reshaping Kampala’s skyline.
“Days like these are rare to find — when we can say we have achieved something we are truly proud of,” said Mr. Islam Mohammed, CEO of VAAL Uganda. “When we started with Cadenza, we entered the market with the country’s tallest residential tower. And now we are proud to introduce something entirely unique, and now in Kololo. The Bridge shall speak for itself.”
The Bridge Kololo: Where Luxury Meets Legacy
Sitting at Impala Avenue, Kololo, The Bridge is more than architecture — it is a destination in the sky, conceptualised as a fusion of lifestyle, location, and investment. With two towers, each featuring basements, a ground floor, and 12 floors, the project is crowned by a signature sky bridge café and lounge overlooking Lake Victoria and Kampala’s skyline.

“Kololo deserves developments that match its prestige,” said Mr. Islam in a message in the project catalogue. “The Bridge Kololo is a rare opportunity to own in a prime, limited-supply location — while enjoying world-class amenities and strong returns. For residents, it’s a lifestyle unmatched in Uganda. For investors, it’s an asset that performs.”
The project features 25 curated lifestyle amenities, including:
- A heated swimming pool
- Private indoor cinema
- Skybridge café
- Rooftop sunset deck
- Co-working lounge
- Yoga area and gym
- Indoor and outdoor kids’ zones
- Steam and sauna rooms for men and women
“From studios to 3-bedroom apartments, the residences combine sleek, light-filled design with efficient layouts and modern comfort. The interiors offer floor-to-ceiling glazing, city views, and a separation of social and private spaces for both short-stay investors and long-term residents,” the developers say.
VAAL’s Rising Profile in Uganda
The Bridge is VAAL Uganda’s second standout project after Cadenza Residence, launched in March 2024. With 24 floors, Cadenza introduced Kampala to ultra-tall residential luxury, setting the tone for VAAL’s vision.
“We set high standards and we achieve them,” Mr. Islam proudly told guests at the launch. “As VAAL Real Estate, our goal is simple — to build luxury developments, with very high returns in the most premium locations.”

Cadenza was not just tall; it was transformative — and its success validated VAAL’s strategy to build in Uganda’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. Cadenza and The Bridge now stand as twin milestones — each one-of-a-kind, and each a representation of VAAL’s intent to lead the luxury segment with unmatched quality, innovation, and service.
Policy, Progress, and a Bridge to the Future
Delivering the keynote address at the launch of The Bridge Kololo, Uganda’s Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Hon. Matia Kasaija, positioned the project as a bold symbol of what’s possible when sound policy meets visionary private sector investment.
“The Bridge Kololo is evidence that our economic strategies are bearing fruit,” he declared. “Projects like this serve multiple economic functions. During construction, they create jobs. Once ready, they provide quality accommodation that supports our growing services sector.”
The Minister painted a picture of a maturing Ugandan economy, anchored in stability and attracting quality investment. He noted that inflation has been stabilised at 5.4%, just a fraction above the national target — a product of close coordination between the central bank and the treasury. He also pointed to the steady rise in foreign direct investment, which grew from $1.36 billion in 2022 to $1.5 billion in 2023, as a testament to investor confidence in Uganda’s economic direction.

Importantly for the real estate sector, Hon. Kasaija highlighted key structural reforms. Access to foreign exchange for construction inputs has improved, allowing developers like VAAL to deliver international-standard projects. Meanwhile, a restructured tax framework — including favourable capital gains provisions and transparent depreciation schedules — has laid a stronger foundation for long-term real estate growth.
Against this backdrop, he commended VAAL Uganda’s foresight and delivery, describing The Bridge as a development that not only adds architectural beauty to Kampala’s skyline but also contributes meaningfully to Uganda’s broader economic agenda.
“To VAAL, you’ve delivered something that elevates Uganda’s real estate sector,” the Minister said. “The Bridge Kololo connects more than two towers — it connects Uganda’s economic present to our very promising future.”
Backed by Experience, Built for the Future
Founded in 2017, VAAL Real Estate brings 20+ years of international development experience, drawn from markets like Turkey, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, and the Middle East. The company blends cutting-edge design, timely delivery, and professional property management to meet global standards. VAAL Uganda offers investors not just property, but fully-managed, high-return real estate products in neighbourhoods with limited supply and strong demand.

“Kololo land is finite, and landmarks of this calibre appear once in a generation,” the company notes. “The Bridge is set to become a timeless reference point for Kampala living — a home that secures your place in the city’s story.”
A Bridge to Kampala’s Future
Attended by dignitaries including Hon. Evelyn Anite, Mr. Ken Katarikawe (JV Partner), Mr. Majeed Saad (Group President), Mr. Hossam Kassim (CEO, VAAL Tanzania), and board director Mr. Osama Elsherbini, the launch of The Bridge Kololo wasn’t just a celebration — it was a marker of confidence in Kampala’s economic and urban future.
With Cadenza and The Bridge, VAAL Uganda is delivering not just homes, but aspirational landmarks — reshaping the way people live, invest, and aspire in Uganda’s capital.
Hon. Kasaija concluded: “Colleagues, VAAL is bridging us to the future.”
