Old Mutual Uganda launches Bespoke Investment product for high-net-worth investors

KAMPALA, UGANDA — Old Mutual Investment Group (OMIG) Uganda has launched “Private Wealth By Old Mutual,” a new investment product aimed at high-net-worth individuals and entities in Uganda. The bespoke solution was unveiled May 27 at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, drawing over 50 prominent business leaders and investors.

OMIG Uganda stated the product addresses a growing need among wealthy investors who have outgrown traditional Unit Trusts and are seeking more advanced, diversified, and globally integrated investment opportunities. The company conducted extensive research to understand the evolving demands of top-tier investors for greater control, deeper insights, and access to a broader range of wealth-growing vehicles.

Private Wealth By Old Mutual offers access to both local and international financial securities through an actively managed portfolio under a custodial environment. This approach allows the product to be tailored to a client’s unique return expectations, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and investment horizon.

Zac Kisesi, Managing Director of Old Mutual Investment Group, emphasized the client-centric development of the new offering. “We listened to our clients,” Kisesi said at the launch. “Many of them had grown their wealth beyond Unit Trusts and were asking for more advanced options to generate higher returns and spread their risk.”

Kisesi added, “With Private Wealth, we’ve built a solution that combines intelligent investment design, local and global market access, and expert insights — all in one place. It’s a transformative step forward in the way wealth is managed in Uganda.” He highlighted that the service provides clients with “the tools, the guidance, and the platform to control their financial destiny.”

The core of the Private Wealth By Old Mutual offering includes customized wealth management solutions, advisory and fiduciary services, and exclusive market access to regional and global markets.

The service is available to a wide range of qualified investors, including individuals, family offices, investment groups, alumni and scholarship funds, foundations, and endowments. OMIG stated this broad eligibility reflects its commitment to serving the diverse forms of wealth held and managed today.

Engineered for performance, the product aims for attractive returns while incorporating prudent risk management, considering varied portfolio compositions and market dynamics. OMIG emphasized that the product provides peace of mind and empowerment, assuring clients their wealth is managed by a trusted institution with a proven track record and a dedicated team.
