Two daughters kill their mother in Luwero over land cash

Police in Luwero has arrested four people for allegedly killing an 89-year-old mother.
 
Nalujja Yowanina was assaulted by her two daughters; Grace Nafuna and Lovinsa Naiga and granddaughters; Grace Namutebi and Lydia Nazziwa after she allegedly refused to share money she was paid from a land sale.
 
The incident occurred on Friday in Bbaale-Kamuzingiza village, Nnyimbwa sub-county. They are all residents of Kamuzingiza village in Nyimbwa sub-county.
 
According to Sam Twiineamazima, Savannah regional police spokesperson, investigations indicate that at around 4 pm, the suspects assaulted and beat Yowanina at around 4 pm. The amount of money and acreage of land in question are yet to be known. 

She was rushed to John’s clinic in Bbowa, where she was pronounced dead an hour later at 5 pm. The suspects were transferred to Bombo police station to record statements and face prosecution. The Police also transferred the dead body to Mulago hospital for postmortem.
