The Mith brings life to World Music Day

The Mith

Last Saturday at the National theater, Alliance Française’s Fête de la Musique celebrated this year’s World Music day.

World Music day started in France in 1982 and in Uganda, it was started in 2014 and since then, it has been celebrated every June.

It was my first time attending this show, but I was so taken up with what I saw, as the event attracted lovers of the arts and culture, and threw in poetry and exhibitions for good measure.

The crowd of Ugandans and expatriates was then treated to a live performance from Muthoni Drummer Queen and The Mith, among others.

Well, the main act was The Mith, who proved that old is indeed gold. The rapper took the crowd back in time with his older songs, mixing things up with his new works. The crowd loved every bit.
