Ranchers Finest launches Kampala’s first specialized meat market

KAMPALA, Uganda — Ranchers Finest, a major meat supplier, has opened The Meat Supermarket in Kampala, the company announced, calling it the city’s first retail outlet dedicated to a wide variety of meat products.

The store, located in Forest Mall at La Patisserie Express, offers a modern, climate-controlled shopping space. Its inventory includes premium cuts, various sausages, pre-marinated selections, and cold cuts. According to Ranchers Finest CEO Collin Muyanja, the concept is designed to serve both busy professionals and dedicated meat consumers seeking convenient, high-quality options.

Muyanja said The Meat Supermarket will also stock cheeses and wines from Vicland Distributors to complement its meat selection. He highlighted the convenience of pre-portioned and hygienically packaged meats, available chilled or frozen.

“We aim for The Meat Supermarket to be the leading destination not just for purchasing meat, but for elevating the experience of enjoying fine dining at home,” Muyanja told reporters during the opening.

Trained staff will be on hand to assist customers with meat selection, and the store will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Muyanja added.

Ranchers Finest is also introducing the Fine Meat Club, a membership program that will offer information on premium meats and preparation, exclusive discounts, recipes from an in-house chef, and reserved parking for members, Muyanja said.
