Plascon expands retail presence in West Nile Region

ARUA, Uganda — Plascon Uganda has expanded its retail network in the West Nile region with the opening of a new “Colour Hero Store” in Arua City, in partnership with Precious Impex. The move aims to capitalize on the region’s growing market and improve distribution for both professional and individual customers.
The opening event in Arua drew local officials, business leaders, and members of the Arua Plascon Painters Forum. Attendees included Arua City Mayor Sam Wadri Nyakua and Resident City Commissioner Salim Komakech.
The Colour Hero Store, located within Precious Impex, will function as a dedicated outlet for Plascon’s full range of paint products and offer services such as color consultation and product information. The company hopes the specialized store will enhance customer experience and streamline access to its offerings.
Mayor Nyakua welcomed Plascon’s investment, noting its potential to support local painters and contribute to the region’s economic activity. Arua is considered a key commercial center for the West Nile, serving a wide area including the districts of Adjumani, Moyo, Terego, Madi-Okollo, Yumbe, Nebbi, Obongi, Maracha, Zombo, and Pakwach.
“This Colour Hero Store is more than just a business — it is a vote of confidence in Arua’s potential,” said Mr. Wadri. “We welcome Plascon’s investment and celebrate this partnership that promises to empower our painters, serve our residents, and boost the economic vibrancy of the West Nile region.”
Plascon Uganda Managing Director Santosh Gumte stated the new store aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its brand presence and provide specialized service across Uganda.
“At Plascon, we believe colour has the power to transform not just walls, but lives,” said Mr. Gumte. “This new Colour Hero Store in Arua brings our full expertise to the region — offering quality products, trusted advice, and a commitment to our customers and professional painters alike.”
The Colour Hero concept is intended to support painting professionals and offer tailored solutions to homeowners and businesses.
The launch included a procession by the Arua Plascon Painters Forum, highlighting the sector’s presence in the region.
This expansion represents Plascon’s ongoing efforts to solidify its market position in northern Uganda and serve the construction and renovation sectors.
