Brian Mutegeki, 20, hacked to death his siblings
A 20-year-old man has hacked to death his three siblings in Fort Portal, western Uganda.
Brian Mutegeki, who is suspected to be mentally ill, hacked to death Charles Kagaba aged 7, Catherine aged 2, and 4-year-old Mutungi Kagaba.
The incident happened on Sunday at about 10 pm in Rwengoma B2 village, Fort Portal Central Division. According to police, the victims’ mother; Mariam Nabukenya was away working in her bar working at the time of the incident.
Mutegeki/’s other siblings Brefin Komuhendo, 17, and Chris Kagaba, 7, sustained serious injuries and are admitted at Fort Portal regional referral hospital.
According to relatives and neighbours, Mutegeki has been battling mental illness for several years.
