Police in Hima division, Kasese district have taken into custody a 17-year-old boy accused of defiling four minors, one of whom is in primary five.
The suspect, a resident of Kinyabwamba upper village in Kitswamba sub-county, is said to have impregnated two girls from Kinyabwamba lower cell and two others from Maliba sub-county.
Solomon Mugisa, the Hima division community liaison officer, confirmed the arrest and noted that police were working on the case file to bring charges against the suspect.
Mary Kisoro, a mother to one of the victims aged 15 years, said she immediately informed the local council chairperson after learning that her daughter was defiled.
The chairperson called in the police who later identified three other girls that had been defiled by the same suspect. One of the victims revealed that she was lured by the suspect who operated a salon in Kinyabwamba trading centre.
