Kasese man kills brother over Shs 5,000 debt

Police in Kasese district have arrested a 34-year-old man on allegations of killing his biological brother over Shs 5,000. 

Phinehas Kisanjya allegedly stabbed his brother Zephanus Kisanjya in the neck and stomach following a fight that started in a bar in Kathoma trading centre.

Phinehas accused Zephanus of failing to pay him his money according to the acting Rwenzori East Region police spokesperson Luke Mbusa.

Emmy Muhindo Kitsama, the chairperson of LC III for Rukoki sub-county, said after committing the crime, the suspect reported to the area defense secretary before handing himself over to the area police.
