iKon awards reward TV, film talent 

The second edition of the iKon Awards went down on Saturday at Kampala Serena hotel, kicking off at 8pm, with guests enjoying red-carpet treatment to showcase their impressive fashion choices.

The hosts of the night were comedian Uncle Mo and socialite Anita Fabiola. The founder of Ikon Awards, Humphrey Nabimanya, said the awards  are set to recognize, “set a pace, and set a true inspiration to build our movie industry”.

Several personalities including Loukman Ali, Brian Mukisa, Shakira Kibirige and John W. Katende, walked away with accolades in different categories.

There were also performances from The Bentiboys Africa, who performed their hit song Wanawankya, and Irene Ntale, who also paid tribute to late musicians Elly Wamala, AK47 and Mowzey Radio.
