Hunger Games has prequel for you

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes is a prequel to The Hunger Games franchise from 2012.

The story is set 64 years before the original series and follows young Coriolanus Snow, who eventually becomes Donald Sutherland’s President Snow.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes explores the events that turned Snow into Panem’s tyrannical ruler. In the prequel, Snow is initially tasked with mentoring a tribute from District 12.

When the charming Lucy Gray captivates Panem’s audience, Snow uses the opportunity to change his destiny. Critics (who gave the film a 61 percent Rotten Tomato score) praised the performances but criticized the film for being ‘Bloated’ and ‘Contrived.’ Audiences are loving it (91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes).
