Bell Lager announces Obafest to celebrate E.African foods, culture

Bell Lager has announced the Obafest, a beer festival aimed to celebrate East African cuisine, music, and culture next month.

According to the press statement, ObaFest whose date is yet to be confirmed will be held simultaneously across East African countries in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan to celebrate the region’s rich cultural tapestry.

FlexiPay will handle payments; SafeBoda will ensure safe travels to and from the festival while Light For The World will ensure disability-inclusivity.

The statement further says festival-goers can expect a tantalizing journey through the region’s culinary delights, with a plethora of food stalls serving up mouthwatering dishes that reflect the diverse tastes and flavours of East Africa – ranging from the aromatic Tanzanian spices to the fiery Ugandan rolex.

The festival’s music is expected to be a blend of traditional rhythms and contemporary beats, with artists from each participating country taking the stage to showcase their unique sound. Gaming enthusiasts will enjoy interactive gaming experiences that blend technology with tradition, offering a unique perspective on East African culture.
